Humans often feel the need to fight for their presence and to prove their existence. Always striving for a quixotic self-image. Never to be satiated or comfortable with present. Not that it is wrong to be in this state. Nor does the above statement promotes unimaginative lifestyle. It has always been the disagreeance with the present that has led to the evolution of mankind. It is not only being comfortable with who you are that is important but what is also important is being comfortable with who others are. Of course, you will find many a times that these two comfort zones do not cross each other. It is at this point a person's perspective matters. Are they intrigued by a point of view different than their own or do they feel an urge to protect their own and stop the cognitive listening.
My belief is that the underlying definition of life in our subconscious mind governs all our point of views. The liquid definition of life gets structured in many ways by the social habitat we live in while growing up. If this statement alone was true then people in the same social habitat would agree on what life is. However, this doesn't seem to be true. My perspective is that it is the interpretation of the complex interaction of our mind with the social habitat we live in governs the definition of life.
Knowing that every person has a perspective and a thought chain then why do we still bridle at the variant definitions of life? We search for Nirvana, however, can we really attain it when we have this concrete structure of life in our minds, which grows with every blink? Isn't the true form is to have no form? Could we really start by accepting that there could exist multiple definition of life which are valid? Every person has a different perspective and hence, every person might have a different variation of the definition of life. Makes sense, ain't it? So lets start to listening cognitively to other's perspective and in the process awaken our minds.
